Mayor Michael Bloomberg suggested alternatives such as concrete when rebuilding boardwalks in Rockaway. In an interview with The Wave, the Mayor said reconstructed boardwalks around the southern side of the peninsula might not be rebuilt until next summer.

Kansas City linebacker kills girlfriend, himself

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher, a former Long Island high school star, shot his 22-year-old girlfriend and then himself this morning at a team training facility, it has been reporter. Two Chiefs staffers and Belcher’s girlfriend witnessed the incident.

After her latest run-in with the law, actress Lindsay Lohan alleged her arrest and charges for assault were pumped up after she was booked for sucker punching a Florida psychic in a Chelsea nightclub. Sources told The Post Lohan said the whole incident was a misunderstanding, and a set up.

STJ Women’s team loses McPherson to torn ACL

Eugenia McPherson, a Long Island native and St. John’s guard, is out for the entire season after it was reported she tore her ACL in her right knee. The senior took a fall last Sunday in the second half of the Lady Johnnies’ win over Hartford.
