Five women were arraigned in court yesterday for the stabbing of a Queens man on the number 6 train.

Starmeik Driggins, 19, was charged with attempted assault, assault and riot, and was given a $15,000 bail, according to court records. Sheyla Figueroa, 18, Michelle Rodriguez, 19, Martha Bermudez, 17 and Sha-steva Burdos, 17, were charged with attempted assault, riot and disorderly conduct.

Around 6 a.m. Sunday, Ralph Carnegary, a 63-year-old Vietnam veteran, was travelling from the Long Island City veteran shelter where he is living to his job as a souvenir vendor in Lower Manhattan on the 6 train, according to media reports, when he confronted a group of young women who he thought were being rowdy. Driggins then allegedly stabbed him in the shoulder as the train was between the 28th and 23rd Street stops.

Driggins claims that Carnegary was the instigator when he punched her girlfriend, and she was just defending her, the Daily News reported.

The defendants next court date is scheduled for Wednesday.
