The Bayside Commodores beat the Campus Magnet Bulldogs (8-2) by a score of 52-43, to improve their record to 8-2. For the Commodores junior Austin Williams led all scorers with 22 points. Senior Uzonna Akazi was second on the team with 10 points and pulled down four rebounds as well. Junior Cantrell Baker scored eight points while senior Ryan Tomlin scored six points. Junior Jamal Roseburgh led the team with five rebounds. For the Bull Dogs, sophomore Noah Vickers led the team with 19 points and seven assists. Senior Samuel Durodola was second on the team with 16 points while leading the team with seven rebounds. Only two other players scored for the Bulldogs for a combined eight points. Next up for the Commodores will be the Forest Hills Rangers (3-7).

In their last game, the Rangers lost to the Beach Channel Dolphins (6-4) by a score of 60-54. For the Dolphins, senior Ismail Abdullah led all scorers with a double-double scoring 20 points while pulling down 10 rebounds. Junior Kapreme Irving and senior Semaj Smith each scored 12 points. Seniors Christopher John and George Palmer each scored six points. For the Rangers, senior Damien Jackson had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Jackson also dished out five assists. Senior Arif Mehmetaj had a double-double with 14 points and 16 rebounds. Senior Shamoy Allen chipped in with nine points and five rebounds. Next up for the Dolphins will be the Thomas Edison Inventors (2-8).

The Inventors were blown out in their last game by the Benjamin Cardozo Judges (9-1), 89-47. Senior Tajay Henry had a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Senior Ryan Yearwood had a double-double as well with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Edwin Sainvil scored 10 points while dishing out six assists. Senior Sven Lewis Hunt was one point away from a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds. The Judges had a total of 68 rebounds in the game. Next up for the Judges will be the Flushing Red Devils.

The Long Island City Bulldogs are at the top of the Queens A West Standings with a 10-0 record. In their last game the Bulldogs beat the Francis Louis Patriots (6-4) by a score of 61-49 extending their regular season winning streak to 25. Senior Kevin Green Jr. had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Green also led the team with seven assists. Senior Xavier Jones was second on the team with 14 points. Senior Arthur Santanna had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The Bayside Commodores (6-2) won their last game by a score of 68-48 over the Flushing Red Devils (0-8). Junior Brandon King had a game high 20 points to lead the Commodores. Senior Uzonna Akazi had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Junior Cantrell Baker added eight points. Junior Austin Williams filled up the stat sheet with seven points, seven rebounds and eight assists. For the Red Devils, senior Dillion Bowen led the team with 12 points. Junior Justyn Velasquez had eight points and three rebounds. Senior Ackeem Ore Vohrnis had four points and led the team in rebounds with seven, while sophomore Papa Ekow Donkor had four points and was second on the team in rebounds with six. In their next game the Commodores will play Thomas Edison Inventors (2-6).

In their last game, the Inventors beat the Forest Hills Rangers (3-5) by a score of 78-70. Senior Deshawn Cann led all scorers with 27 points for the Inventors. Junior Jaleel Charles had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore Orain Lawrence chipped in with 12 points, while Senior Rowan Fisher had 11 points and six rebounds. For the Rangers, senior Shamoy Allen led the team with 20 points. Senior Arif Mehmetaj had a double-double with 17 points and 17 rebounds. Senior Damien Jackson had a double-double as well with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Junior Benjamin Batash chipped in with 13 points. Next up for the Rangers will be the Martin Van Buren Vee Bees (2-6).

For the Vee Bees, senior Edgar Lebron led the team with 17 points and eight rebounds. Senior Brandon Howard had 15 points and six assists. Senior Jameke Mejia chipped in with 12 points. Senior Chucks Obunse had seven points and was second on the team with seven rebounds. Next up for the Judges will be the Beach Channel Dolphins (5-3).

The Bayside Commodores have started the season 3-1 after defeating the Forest Hills Rangers (2-2) by a score of 73-33. Junior Brandon King was one of two players to score in double figures, leading all scorers with 21 points. For the season, King is the Commodores’ leading scorer with 19.25 points per game. Uzonna Akazi, second on the team in scoring, added 18 points and was first on the team in rebounds with six. Junior Jamal Roseburgh scored seven points, while junior Corey Mittenthal scored six. Junior Austin Williams also scored six points and dished out five assists. For the Rangers, Arif Mehmetaj led the team with 14 points and senior Shamoy Allen chipped in with seven points. Senior Damien Jackson scored six points while leading the team with six rebounds. Next up for the Commodores will be the Beach Channel Dolphins (3-1).

In their last game, the Judges beat the Flushing Red Devils (0-4) by a score of 76-41 as six-foot-nine junior Jermaine Lawrence led the team in scoring with 19 points. Lawrence also had 17 rebounds, giving him a double-double. For the season Lawrence is averaging 19.67 points a game to go along with 15.67 rebounds a game. Senior Tajay Henry had a double-double as well with 12 points and 12 rebounds, while junior Daniel Janel also had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Judges had a total of 55 rebounds in the game. Next up for the Judges will be the Campus Magnet Bull Dogs (3-1).

The Bull Dogs beat the Martin Van Buren Vee Bees (1-2) by a score of 62-44. Senior Samuel Durodola had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Tarik Raynor had 17 points as well, with eight rebounds. Senior Grequan Carter had 14 points in the game. Junior Tyrell Fields had just one basket but was able to grab eight rebounds. For the Vee Bees, Patrick Gustave had a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Senior Chucks Obunse scored just one basket but pulled down 13 rebounds.

The Bayside Commodores have started the basketball season 2-0. In the second game of the season, the Commodores bested the Thomas Edison Inventors (0-2) by a score of 82-56. Junior guard Brandon King led the Commodores in scoring with 25 points and fellow junior Austin Williams was second on the team with 20 points and led the team with eight assists. Both players were one rebound away from a double-double. Senior Uzonna Akazi chipped in with seven points and pulled down three rebounds, while sophomore guard Daqauise Andrews scored four points in the game and grabbed six rebounds, which was tied for second on the Commodores with junior Vincent England.

The Forest Hills Rangers have started the season 2-0 as well. The Rangers beat the Martin Van Buren Vee Bees (0-1) by a score of 61-53. Senior Arif Mehmeta had a double-double, leading all scorers with 23 points while pulling down 10 rebounds. Second on the team in scoring was senior Shamoy Allen who had a double-double as well with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Damien Jackson scored seven points while leading the team in rebounds with 11. Senior Jameke Mejia led the Vee Bees with 17 points. Senior Brandon Howard scored 14 points while senior Chucks Obunse scored seven points and pulled down 10 rebounds.

Senior Samuel Durodola had 14 points and seven rebounds, while senior Grequan Carter was the only other player in the game to score in double figures with 11. Senior Justin Harvey had nine points, while sophomore Nohah Vickers scored eight points and totaled seven assists. For the Red Devils, seniors Dillion Bowen and Unel Daley were tied for the team lead in points with eight. Senior Moussa Keita and junior Kylique Lipscombe were second on the team with seven apiece.
