Woman mugged outside Woodside bank: NYPD

Police are have released the photo of a mugging suspect who they say nabbed a woman’s purse in broad daylight after she exited a Woodside bank last month.

The 24-year-old victim was leaving the Astoria Bank at 60-20 Woodside Ave. just after 4:30 p.m. on May 26 when the suspect ran up to her, pushed her to the ground and fled with her pocketbook, containing her identification, credit cards and an undetermined amount of money, authorities said.

The suspect, who goes by the first name “Eladio” is described as a Hispanic male in his early thirties, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 150 pounds.

Man sought for attempted purse snatching inside Flushing apartment building

A woman fought off an attempted robber after he followed her inside her Flushing building and tried to steal her bag, cops said.

The 29-year-old victim was followed into the building just before 5 a.m. on Wednesday and once she was on the second floor, the suspect grabbed her purse, authorities said. While the woman fought with the suspect, he pushed her into wall, but was unable to take her bag. They continued to struggle until the suspect fled empty-handed.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds.

Two wanted in Flushing, Fresh Meadows street robberies

Cops are looking for two suspects in a string of street robberies in Flushing and Fresh Meadows over the last month.

One of the suspects snatched a bag from a 63-year-old woman on Aug.4 at the intersection of 202nd Street and Hillside Avenue at about 4:50 a.m. after flashing a gun at the victim, cops said.

A suspect then stole another woman’s bag at the intersection of 162nd Street and Booth Memorial Avenue on Aug. 14 around 9:15 p.m. after assaulting the 46-year-old.

Both suspects are wanted in two other street robberies this month—on Aug. 17 at the intersection of 165th Street and the Horace Harding Expressway at about 9:30 p.m. and on Aug. 18 at the intersection of the Horace Harding Expressway and 148th Street, officials said. During the latest robbery, the pair approached a 23-year-old man just after midnight and assaulted him before taking his personal property.

Police describe the suspects as black men in their 20s, 6 feet tall and 170 pounds, and have released a video of one of the suspects using a credit card that was taken during the Aug. 18 robbery.

Police seek Forest Hills, Kew Gardens purse snatcher who threatens to cut victims

Cops are looking for a Queens purse snatcher who grabs his victims using a bear hug and threatens to cut them, according to police.

The suspect first targeted a woman about 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 11 as she was walking on Lefferts Boulevard near Metropolitan Avenue, the NYPD said. After approaching the woman, the suspect pushed her up against a fence, then displayed a box cutter and took her purse. He then fled on foot.

A day later, just before midnight, the suspect exited a dark colored four door sedan and grabbed a woman in a bear hug as she was walking along Continental Avenue near Dartmouth Street, according to police. He then threatened to cut the victim, though no knife was displayed, and stole her purse. The suspect took off in the car.

On Feb. 19, the suspect again grabbed a woman in a bear hug as she was walking down Austin Street near 71st Road about 1:45 a.m., cops said. He pressed an unknown sharp object against the victim’s hand and took her purse. The suspect then fled in a dark colored four door sedan.

Police seek suspect in Flushing restaurant purse theft

Police are looking for a woman who last month snatched an unattended purse off a chair at a Chinese restaurant in Flushing and fled.

The grand larceny took place at Good Fortune Restaurant, at 46-45 Kissena Boulevard, on Nov. 30 at about noon.

The suspect — described as an Asian woman with long black hair and brown eyes — allegedly took the bag off a chair after a 25-year-old female victim left it behind to go to the bathroom, police said.

The thief walked out of the restaurant and fled in a 2013 black Mercedes Benz, according to authorities.

Officers of the 109th Precinct urge residents to keep their valuables close while shopping and dining and not to leave them unattended, especially in restaurants, cars and shopping carts.
