A new store in Woodhaven has something to celebrate.

Khloe’s Party Zone, located on 87-18 Jamaica Ave., caters to celebrations, selling must-have party items such as ribbons and party hats.

“We’ve wanted to open a business for a while now and there are many things we have to offer to the community,” said Ixaida Erskine, who runs the business with her husband Michael.

While the store provides for all kinds of parties, there is a focus on children’s events.

Ixaida explained that the duo had originally wanted to open their business in Brooklyn, which is only a few blocks away, but the rent forced them to find a place in Queens, where prices are lower.

“But we’re happy we moved here. The experience with the community so far has been great,” Ixaida said.

There will be an official grand opening party on Saturday, April 19, when the couple will offer free face painting for children.

Knicks lose to Bulls, sixth in a row

The Knicks can’t get a win, can’t get a rebound, can’t get Carmelo Anthony happy and efficient, and can’t make the playoffs if the season ended today. With the trade deadline looming Thursday and the Melo-Mike D’Antoni relationship souring, the Knicks would not be a playoff team if the season ended today and do not look like one. All of it appears to have the coach on shaky ground again after last night’s sixth straight loss, 104-99, to the Bulls at United Center. Read More: New York Post
