Suspect wanted in Astoria attempted rape

A woman fought off an attempted rapist after the man attacked her as she was walking down an Astoria street Sunday, police said.

The 23-year-old victim was on 30th Avenue about 3:30 a.m. when the suspect approached her from behind and pushed her to the ground, cops said.

Once on the ground, the suspect attempted to rape the woman, according to police. She struggled with the man, who then fled.

The victim sustained cuts and scratched to her legs and buttocks during the incident, but refused medical attention on scene, the NYPD said.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male in his early 30s, 5’7″ tall and 145 pounds.

Cops looking for suspect who tried to rape Ozone Park woman at knifepoint

A man tried to rape a woman at knifepoint inside her Ozone Park apartment Friday morning, then cut his victim as she stopped his attack, police said.

The suspect gained entry inside the 27-year-old victim’s home around 10 a.m., placed a pocket knife to her neck and told the woman to take her clothes off, according to police. The victim complied and undressed, but then, in a struggle with the suspect, was able to wrestle away his knife.

He then pulled out a second pocketknife and cut the victim on her left wrist and right ring finger, police said. The suspect was able to take back the first pocket knife before fleeing the apartment in an unknown direction.

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his early 20′s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 pounds, with a dark complexion. He was wearing a black hoodie with white letters and blue long johns.

Police: Suspect injures Fresh Meadows woman during attempted robbery in her driveway

A Fresh Meadows woman was injured when a man who was trying to rob her while she was in her driveway, hit the victim on the head with his gun, police said.

The suspect approached the 66-year-old around 11:15 a.m. on December 5 while she was emptying items from her car and demanded her valuables, police said. When the victim began to scream, the suspect hit her in the head with his gun. He then fled without stealing anything, according to police.

The victim was taken to New York Hospital Queens with lacerations to her head, cops said.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man, 20 to 25 years old, and 5 feet 11 inches tall. He was wearing a black skullcap and black jacket.
