Suspect takes $4K in LIC bank robbery: cops

This suspect is wanted in a Long Island city bank robbery, according to police.

Police are looking for a suspect who took $4,262 from a Long Island City bank Tuesday afternoon.

The man entered a HSBC Bank on 43rd Avenue near 23rd Street at about 3:30 p.m., approached a teller and passed a demand note before fleeing with the cash, police said.

Authorities describe the suspect as Hispanic, about 30 to 35 years old, 6 feet tall, 230 pounds, with a mustache and a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, blue jeans, white sneakers, a blue button-up shirt and dark sunglasses.
