Title: Owner/Director

1. What do you love about your job and why?

The best part of my job, hands down, is working with children. They are truly a joy. Seeing the world through their innocent eyes and witnessing them learn and grow is awe inspiring. Helping these little individuals develop into intelligent, knowledgeable and caring young people is why I do what I do. Each day my faith is renewed when I see the smile on their sweet faces and I know the sacrifice is worth it!

2. What are your business goals over the next five years?

Over the next five years I would like to develop our two-year-old separation class. I would also like to enhance our weekend Gifted & Talented Program, as well as our Sign Language & Italian Programs. I need to focus on getting the word out to the public about our fantastic existing programs. Our programs are magnificent and unique; our challenge has been letting people know about them.

3. How do you give back to the community?

I run a community youth center called Striving to Achieve & Reach Success, Inc. (aka S.T.A.R.S.). S.T.A.R.S. has been created to provide opportunities to enable youth to reach their full potential. In addition to S.T.A.R.S., I am the president of the Rotary Club of South West Queens. As a club we hold community events to benefit local, national and international causes. I am also a member of the National Association of Day Care Providers and the 106th Precinct Community Council.
