Title: Director of Corporate Relations

1. What do you love about your job and why?
I love the relationships I get to build each year working on American Cancer Society events and programs that fund cancer research and patient services. My role in corporate relations provides many opportunities to work with individuals, companies and organizations that want to make a difference in the fight against cancer. I love that I am able to work with multiple partners in creative and fulfilling ways to support the Queens community with funding for cancer research. I am inspired each day by individuals who dedicate their time and resources to help eradicate cancer.

2. What are your business goals over the next five years?
Over the next five years, I will continue to dedicate my career to work on behalf of individuals and families facing a cancer diagnosis. The critical need for research funding and access to health care significantly increases each year. The American Cancer Society is dedicated to be a part of this fight both within our Queens community and nation-wide. My personal and business goals are to make an impact in building local and national partnerships that raise awareness and increase funding for cancer research and patient services.

3. How do you give back to the community?
I am fortunate to be a member of organizations that work to improve the quality of life for individuals and families in need. I am a member of the Queens Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., which has served the Queens community for over 60 years, a member of Christ Tabernacle Church in Glendale, and a member of St. John’s Place Circle of Friends that provides over 250 children residing at the St. John’s Homeless Shelter with holiday presents each year. In addition to my work at the American Cancer Society, I participate as an athlete in the Determination Endurance program and run half-marathons and marathons to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.
