What do you love about your job and why?

What do I love about my job? This is an interesting question because I work in an industry that most individuals dislike. Phrases like “I’d rather give birth than get a root canal!” and “I do not want to offend you Jorge, but I hate dentists” are what I often hear from my patients. I define it as a love/hate relationship.
The answer is to truly care for your patients and spend the time educating them. This is what I truly love about my job — going above and beyond what anyone else in the dental field is currently doing for our community. I am about going out and investing thousands of dollars and hundreds of man hours into educating our community. This education helps our patients’ live happy and healthy lives. With this knowledge our patients can see how valuable we are and turning this hate into love is what I enjoy most about my job.

What are you business goals over the next five years?

Over the next five years my main goal is to continue to expand, whether it’s further expanding our current office, or opening a second one. We want to continue building upon the outstanding reputation Nunez Dental has earned in the Queens community. Working on what we can do to help more people, whether it’s by giving over 13,000 patients the dental treatment that they really need and deserve, doing hundreds of free checkups at local health fairs, providing 35 great staff members with a job and great work environment and most importantly providing their families a stable income. My goal is to “Aim for the moon, that way, even if you miss you’ll still be amongst the stars!” – W. Clement Stone

How do you give back to the community?

Being in health care industry, we give back every day to our community. In addition, we have worked with numerous health fairs and provided them with hundreds of free checkups, raffled off over $5,000 in whitenings, cleanings, X-rays, exams, toothbrushes, toothpastes, floss and electric toothbrushes. We have also donated toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss to underprivileged kids. We have also worked with numerous not-for-profit organizations educating the community of how important dental hygiene is and most importantly, providing the less fortunate with care. These are some of the countless efforts we have done for our community.
