1. What do you love about your job and why?

I love being part of a social movement that’s about establishing and building power within the grassroots base to protect a core value that we all share, a value that is fundamental to the labor movement, that is: to fight exploitation wherever it happens.

2. What are your business goals over the next five years?

My goal for the next five years is to continue contributing to development and growth of democratic worker cooperatives such as Inti-Na’a Catering and Workers’ Union of Green Cleaning and to strengthen the sustainability of successful Day Laborer Center’s models, while at the same time continuing the processes of education and leadership development that are so necessary to affecting long-term social change.

3. How do you give back to the community?

My contribution to the community begins by bringing together the needs and visions of the community as a whole to facilitating a process in which the community develops a collective analysis of its situation, as well as a vision to move towards.
