A teacher from I.S. 237 in Flushing has been accused of having sex with a student and charged with rape.

A Queens public school teacher has been arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student that started when the girl was 13 years old, according to police and published reports.

Daniel Reilly, a 32-year-old English teacher at I.S. 237 in Flushing, was taken into custody Monday night and charged with multiple counts of rape and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police reportedly found out about the eight-month long affair between Reilly and the now 14-year-old after the teen’s sister discovered text messages between the two on her sibling’s phone.
