Police seek violent robber

Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with a violent robbery that occurred on Saturday, April 10.
Cops say that the unidentified suspect followed the victim, a 45-year-old man, into the elevator at 1334 Caffrey Avenue in Far Rockaway, and pushed and choked him. The suspect also produced a knife and forcibly took the victim’s cell phone and an undetermined amount of money. The perp then exited the building and fled in an unknown direction.
He is described as a male black in his 40s, approximately 6’3″, 180 to 200 pounds, with a close-cropped hair cut. He was wearing a black waist-length jacket with orange writing on back and blue jeans.
