Purse snatchers sought
The NYPD is asking for your help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a grand larceny which occurred within the confines of the 106th Precinct.
On Monday, May 2, at the intersection of Liberty Avenue and 96th Street, the victim was approached by the suspects, who took her pocketbook without her permission and fled the location. The victim was not injured.
Police say the first suspect is a male, black or Hispanic, approximately 23 to 24 years old. Suspect number two is of a similar description.

Fire injures nine
A fire in a private home left seven firefighters and two civilians with minor injuries.
According to FDNY officials, on Friday, May 6 a call came over for a fire at 51-56 47th Street in Maspeth. Twelve units – 60 firefighters – were on the scene in five minutes. The inferno, on the second floor of the home, was under control in 40. The nine injured were taken to local hospitals, including Elmhurst. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Octogenarian missing
Police are looking for a missing 84-year-old man.
Carlos Esperjo, of 80-38 245th Street, was last seen at his home on May 3.
Police say he is approximately 5’10”, 160 pounds, and was last seen wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans and glasses.
Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.

Help find missing 89 year old
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Abraham Strizhevsky, 89, last seen on Friday, May 6 at 138-49 Elder Avenue.
Strizhevsky is 5’6″, 190 lbs, and was wearing black pants, a black sweater, glasses, and was carrying two canes. Police say he is in good physical, but poor mental condition.
