Fatal shooting

On Monday, June 21, police responded to 161st Street and 118th Avenue on a call of a male shot.

Upon arrival, cops determined that 33-year-old Maurice Gordon, an off-duty U.S. customs officer, had been shot once in the chest – reportedly in front of his mother’s house – by unknown suspect(s). The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

There are no arrest(s) at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
