Queens Jazz Orchestra

            The Queens Jazz Orchestra will perform at Flushing Town Hall, located at 137-35 Northern Boulevard, at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 18.
            The orchestra will perform songs by the many jazz artists who lived in Queens. Excerpts of the original composition “New Visions” by conductor Jimmy Heath will also be performed.
            Tickets are $40 or $32 for members. Packages that include a table for two, wine and snacks, a signed CD and a chance to meet the artist are available for $120 or $100 for members.

LIC Bike Ride
Socrates Sculpture Park
Saturday, June 19
            Socrates Sculpture Park, located at 32-01 Vernon Boulevard in Long Island City, will hold its third annual bike parade on Saturday, June 19.
            The event will begin with workshops from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a bike decorating workshop, free helmets and fittings, riding safety tips and bike repairs. The parade will begin at 3 p.m.
            The even is free and will be held rain or shine.

Cabaret Night
Queens Theatre in the Park
Saturday, June 19
            As part of its cabaret nights, Queens Theatre in the Park, located in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, will have a performance by On the Fly at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 19.
            On the Fly is “a bilingual progressive commercial rock band with English and Spanish songs,” according to QTiP’s web site.
            Admission is $15 and the first drink is on the house.

The Howard Leshaw Klezmer Ensemble
Kew Gardens Hills Library

            The Howard Leshaw Klezmer Ensemble will perform at the Kew Gardens Hills Library, located at 72-33 Vleigh Place in Flushing, at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 21.
            They will perform Hebrew, Klezmer and Israeli music.
