Richard Christy

Richard Christy grew up in Redfield, Kansas, a tiny town of about fifty people. He is a comic, writer, drummer, actor and licensed electrician.

Richard was offered his dream job opportunity to audition for The Howard Stern Show in 2004 when Stuttering John left the Stern Show to join The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. After Richard’s week long audition in June 2004, Howard’s audience voted, and Richard won his dream job. Richard now resides in Long Island City and continues to work on the radio and TV show.

As a musician, he was a member of and/or played in the bands Public Assassin, Burning Inside, Acheron, Death, Iced Earth, Incantation, Demons and Wizards, Control Denied and Leash Law. Richard still plays drums every day and continues to write and record music for his current band Charred Walls of the Damned who just released their second album “Cold Winds On Timeless Days”

Discovering his other passions, Richard filmed the low budget thirty minute horror-comedy Evil Ned 2 followed by a full length remake resulting in Evil Ned 3: The Return of Evil Ned 2, Electric Boogaloo.

Richard released the full length comedy movies T-BACK, Legend Of The Black Eye and Leaving Grunion County.
