Another Queens politician picked up the endorsement of Senator Chuck Schumer after the three-term incumbent backed Nily Rozic in the 25th District Assembly race.
“I was 23 when I was first elected to the State Assembly, so I know that a fresh-faced representative like Nily is just the kind of person we need in Albany,” Schumer said in a release. “She is independent, will stand up to special interests and fight for our middle class — and that’s exactly what Queens needs.”
“Senator Schumer has always led the fight to protect working and middle class families and our seniors, and for a strong foreign policy that keeps America and its critical allies, like Israel, safe and secure,” the Democratic candidate said. “I am grateful to have his support and know that we will work together to deliver results for our neighborhoods.”
Rozic faces Abe Fuchs in the November 6 general election.
