I have tried out various social media management platforms, but none have given me as much satisfaction as Hoot Suite, a dashboard that allows you to post to multiple networks in one fell swoop, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, WordPress, and more. My favorite aspect of Hootsuite is the ability to schedule posts – when I have content I want to talk about or share but I know I’m going to be away for the weekend, I can schedule a post for any date or time. This is also a great way for business owners stop spending lots of time posting on social media – I know some people who set their posts on schedule to go out for the week and then spend their time responding to posts and engaging their users instead of worrying about when to post.
Hootsuite is very versatile in that it allows you to track statistics, pay attention to who is mentioning your company (even if they don’t tag you!), and manage multiple contributors to your social media effort using different passwords. Hootsuite even has mobile apps for iPhone, Android, Blackberry, iPad, and more. The best part about Hootsuite? Most of these features are free!
