The NYPD is asking for your help in identifying the suspect wanted for a series of bank robberies in the borough.

The first incident dates back to Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at the Capital One Bank at 83-24 Queens Boulevard; three days later he hit the Chase Bank located at 96-19 101st Avenue; and on Saturday, June 13 the suspect held up the Capital One Bank located at 83-24 Queens Boulevard.

The next robbery was at the same bank on November 13; that same day the suspect hit the Valley National Bank located at 69-20 80th Street. Then, on December 3, the thief targeted the NY Commercial Bank located at 97-77 Queens Boulevard. On the 17 of December, he robbed the Sovereign Bank at 150-28 Union Turnpike; his latest hit was the same day, at the Apple Bank located at 102-29 Queens Boulevard.

Police say the suspect is a male black, between 30 and 35 years old, 5'7", 170 pounds, with a medium build. In all the cases, the suspect approaches a teller at the bank, hands over a demand note and then flees the location. There have been no reported injuries.

Anyone with information in regards to any of these bank robberies is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
