Fabulous food at forty

Flushing residents living near “the bend,” where Parsons and Kissena Boulevards merge, have something to look forward to – Kissena Farms supermarket.

Boasting a freshly renovated structure at 72-15 Kissena Boulevard and 16,000 square-feet of one-stop shopping, the supermarket – rebranded as Aron’s Kissena Farms – aims to offer consumers a stylish, hassle-free and discounted shopping experience.

Having gutted the entire interior, Aron’s Kissena Farms enlisted the services of noted architect Dinesh Doshi (whose magnificent retail designs for ShopRite, Acme and Lowes have won critical acclaim) to create a distinctive atmosphere that promises to provide Queens residents with a shopping experience unlike any other.

Acquired by an industry professional with years of successful supermarket experience, Aron’s Kissena Farms will be utilizing its extensive network of wholesale food distributors to negotiate lower prices for products and pass along the savings to customers, according to a statement by Aron Hirtz.

The supermarket, with a grand re-opening date slated for Tuesday, February 2, will carry a full array of fresh produce, groceries and dry goods. Convenient food departments will be set up throughout the store paying homage to the neighborhood’s diverse ethnic population, including a fully-stocked kosher section, under strict supervision of Vaad Harabonim of Queens, according to the web site.

" We have been waiting to see what's happening at the old Kissena Farms! We are very excited about the free parking and newly designed interior. Look forward to what they'll have in store for Purim and Passover. Hatzlacha! "
