official. Assemblymember Mike Miller (second from right), representing the 38th AD, was sworn in by Judge Thomas Raffaele on Sunday, November 1 at I.S. 77 in Ridgewood. Pictured with Miller are (left to right) Democratic District Leader Frank Kotnik, Congressmember Joseph Crowley, Congressmember Anthony Weiner and Senator Charles Schumer.

“My candidacy was a grassroots effort and I am truly grateful for your confidence and hard work,” said Miller. “It was only with your support, with my neighbors and friends petitioning on my behalf and with your tireless efforts that I received the necessary signatures to get onto the primary ballot. After this first hurdle, we kept going, kept knocking on doors and reaching out to the public. And today we celebrate all that we have achieved, and look forward to all that we will achieve, together. As a representative of the 38th Assembly District, I will defend your rights, advocate for your best interests, and improve your quality of life.”
