P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center will continue with its Warm Up Series on Saturday, September 5 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

It will include live music and DJs. It will feature Rong Music with TBD, Coati Mundi, DJ Spun, The Glenn Branca Ensemble and Carlos Giffoni & Okkyung Lee.

Author Talk

Whitestone Library

The Whitestone Library will host an author talk with Jason Antos at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8.

Antos, who has spent his entire life living in Queens, is the author of several books focusing on the borough. They are Queens: Then and Now, Whitestone and Shea Stadium.

Choral Society Auditions

The Queens College Choral Society will hold auditions from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9.

According to a recent release, “the society welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds and is open to anyone with prior singing experience.”

The auditions will be held in room 246 of LeFrak Concert Hall on the Queens College campus.

“An Evening of Super Star Oldies”

Kupferberg Center for the Arts

“An Evening of Super Star Oldies” will be held at the Kupferberg Center for the Arts at Queens College on Saturday, September 13 at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will feature Jay and The Americans, Kenny Vance and The Planotones, Herb Reed’s Platters, Shirley Alston Reeves, Sammy Sax and The MDs and The Dubs with Denise Sergi.

Tickets cost $55 for front orchestra, $50 for rear orchestra and $40 for mezzanine.

I feel that Michael Vick should be advised of what this vet did to help this dog and then he should prove his worth to the humane society by paying the full bill to Dr Jay Rogoff and his valiant effort to save this unfortunate dog! "
