The Museum of the Moving Image presents, Computer Age: Early Computer Movies, 1952–1987, a program exploring early computer animation. In Demon Seed, a supercomputer can cure leukemia, develop mining techniques, and ruminate on Buddhism. When threatened with a data-wipe, the hubristic machine infiltrates the high-tech home of a scientist, trapping his wife, and preparing her to propagate a new life form with his synthetic sperm.
