National Aviation Week at LaGuardia Airport with Cradle of Aviation Museum

The Food & Shops at LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal B and The Cradle of Aviation Museum have teamed up to celebrate National Aviation week. The festivities will kick off on Monday, August 19th, when passengers can enjoy the “Story of Flight” exhibit, presented by the Cradle of Aviation Museum. The exhibit will feature model airplanes including a Grumman X-29 model and a Lunar Module model as well as visual banners depicting historical LaGuardia Airport scenes. The Cradle of Aviation’s ‘Education Team’ will be on hand on Friday, August 23rd from 11am-3pm, along with a costumed “Amelia Earhart” and the Cradle of Aviation’s mascot “Soaring Sam”, to educate and entertain kids. Passengers can pick up a printed flyer at the terminal or visit to redeem the special offers by smartphone.

An aviation-themed contest will be available on Twitter. Followers of @shoplaguardia and @COAM can tweet #celebrateaviation to enter for a chance to win a retro Pan Am duffle bag, valued at $200 and a free one-year membership (valid for a family of 4) to the Cradle of Aviation Museum, valued at $125.
