Brain & Behavior Research Foundation Meet the Scientist Webinar: "OCD & Anxiety: Symptoms, Treatment & How to Cope" with Dr. Helen Blair Simpson

In this free webinar for the public, recent advances in obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety research, treatment and care will be presented by Helen Blair Simpson, M.D., Ph.D., Director of the Anxiety Disorders Clinic & OCD Research Program at New York State Psychiatric Institute and Professor of Clinical Psychiatry, College of Physician and Surgeons, Columbia University. Dr. Simpson is the attending Psychiatrist at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and a Brain & Behavior Research Foundation’s 2010 NARSAD Independent Investigator Grantee.

Since 1996, Dr. Simpson has worked in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic. Her interdisciplinary work ranges from clinical trials comparing the effects of medication and therapy in OCD to brain imaging studies examining the brain basis of OCD. She received her B.Sc. in biology from Yale College and her M.D.-Ph.D. degree from Rockefeller University/Cornell University Medical College. She was an intern and resident in psychiatry at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center.
