• Dec. 29, Afrikan Poetry Theatre Kwanzaa 2012: Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics), 1 pm – 8 pm. This event will include performances by Devore Dance Company, Edge School of the Arts, Ballet International Africans, Southside Classic R&B, SVS Self-Defense (Mixed Marital Arts) and Universe In-Motion Children’s Ensemble. Also expect a candle-lighting, distribution of free fruit and Zawadi (gifts) to the children and an African marketplace.
