Balance NYC (A Juried Exhibition)
Sunday, November 11th, 2012 ( repeats every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 12/09/2012 )
Balance in art is the arrangement of elements so no one part overpowers the other, or seems heavier than the other. There are three different perspectives on balance: symmetrical balance - stable and formal. Asymetrical balance - non-stable and dramatic. Radial balance - alludes to movement.
"Your well-being in life depends on the quality of your thoughts...with the three parts: of the psyche, reason, the will, and the appetite, being in balance." -Marcus Aurelius
