Jazz with Junior Mance

Born in Chicago on Oct. 10, 1928, He is a jazz pianist, composer, author of “HOW TO PLAY BLUES PIANO”, and recording artist of forty plus albums as a leader and numerous recordings as a sideman. Junior began playing the piano at the age of five. He attended Roosevelt College in Chicago as a music major. During his early teens, Junior started playing professionally. He joined Gene Ammons’ band and began his recording career at the age of seventeen.
He also played and recorded with Lester Young, Dinah Washington, Clifford Brown, Max Roach, Clark Terry, Dizzy Gillespie, Cannonball Adderley, and many others.
