The Department of Design and Construction (DDC) failed to make their appointment at Thursday’s Hamilton Beach Civic Association meeting, turning what should have been an informative session on a capital project into an airing of residents’ grievances.
A continuous stream of water has been flowing onto one Hamilton Beach street for over six days due to a water main break, causing flooding along the thoroughfare that turns into sheets of ice when temperatures dip below freezing.
The boardwalk in Hamilton Beach was rebuilt last year to make for an easier commute for residents traveling to the A train station in Coleman Square. But this winter it has been anything but easy to travel on the boardwalk as ice and snow accumulation has made it virtually unwalkable.
