A Corona resident who was arrested days before traveling to see a 13-year-old girl in Oklahoma was sentenced to five to 15 years in prison for trying to convince young girls to engage in sexual performances via an online “game,” prosecutors said.
Councilwoman Julissa Ferreras announced Monday morning that Corona Plaza, located on Roosevelt Avenue between National and 104th streets, will be the first plaza in Queens to offer residents and visitors free WiFi, along with two AT&T StreetCharge stations.
A total of 57 families have come together to file a lawsuit against the landlord of their Corona apartment building which in the past few years has dealt with uninhabitable conditions such as rodent and cockroach infestation, and ceilings falling apart.
