The one living Boston bombing suspect is still in serious condition after his arrest last night in a suburb of the city.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, had injuries to his neck and leg, losing a great deal of blood, by the time he was taken in before 9 p.m, according to news sources. While injured he still exchanged gun fire with police while he was hiding in a stored boat, it was reported.

Tsarnaev, a University of Massachusetts Dartmouth student, was also reported to have attended classes up until this past Wednesday.

Federal authorities are looking into the past of Dzhohkar and his brother Tamerlan, 26, who was also a suspect and killed in a confrontation with police early Friday.

Authorities believe Tamerlan Tsarnaev, an ethnic Chechen, travelled to Russia for six months in 2012, according to the New York Times. Russian officials have promised to cooperate and help America in tracing the cause of the attacks.
