Banking at “America’s most convenient bank” just got easier with the launch of a brand new branch.
TD Bank officials and Long Island City residents took refuge from the rain on Friday, September 28 to celebrate the opening of the newest location, at 21-31 46th Avenue.
“It’s very exciting for us. We’re looking to do a lot,” said Randy Estrada, West Queens’ retail market manager. “We’ve always had an interest [in the area] but not a presence.
The construction was one of TD’s “easiest builds,” according to Estrada. Previously, the site was home to a State Bank of Long Island branch, and it proved to be the right spot for TD to break into the territory.
From start to finish, the transformation into a TD branch took just two months.
“We have the style, the flair, the team,” said Keith Narozny, the 46th Avenue manager. “My team is very excited.”
To celebrate the opening, the branch hosted seven days of celebration.
“There was a surprise and delight every day,” said Estrada.
TD offers daily superb customer service that you may not get elsewhere. The bank is open seven days a week, 361 days a year, from 7:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. Also available in the store is a coin-to-cash machine, free to account holders.
TD Bank not only cares for customers, but also for its community. It has donated to several nonprofit organizations, including St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and the nearby MoMA PS1.
The bank will continue to open up branches throughout Queens. Next up: Sunnyside.
“With the renaissance that’s happening around here, we had to be a part of it,” said Estrada.
