Police are requesting the public’s help identifying and locating an Astoria grand larceny suspect.
The suspect entered Central Collision, an auto repair shop in 36th Avenue, on Wednesday, February 15 and stole woman’s unattended pocketbook, according to authorities.
The purse contained the woman’s wallet, cash and credit cards.
Shortly after the robbery, the suspect unsuccessfully attempted to use the victim’s card to withdraw money from an ATM.
Police described the suspect as a black male and was seen wearing a dark puffy jacket and black winter cap with ear flaps.
