NYPD searching for Corona armed robber

Police are looking for a suspect in connection with two Corona armed robberies.

The first incident occurred just before midnight on Sunday, February 12 at the Papa John’s on National Street, police said. The suspect entered the pizza joint armed with a gun and demanded money from the cashier. When the victim did not immediately respond, the suspect fired a round into the restaurant’s wall, according to authorities. The suspect fled with an unknown amount of money.

Two weeks after the first incident, the suspect entered a 7-Eleven on Corona Avenue and again pulled out a gun and demanded cash, police said.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic between his mid-20s and early 30s, with a stocky build and thin mustache.
