Former Queens Congressmember Anthony Weiner, who resigned last June following a lewd photo scandal, is still considering a run for New York City mayor, the NY Post reported. He has a $4.5 million campaign war chest, and after the 2013 election, the public match for the funds will expire. Because of this deadline, he is seriously thinking about entering the 2013 mayoral race. Weiner may run for public advocate instead, which he likely would have a better chance of winning.
The NY Post also reported that Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, an aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is urging him to give a tell-all interview. Abedin beleives it will help her husband to move forward.
Do you think Anthony Weiner can still become mayor? Does he have a chance of winning the race for public advocate? Leave your comments below.

Weiner is clueless. Tells you alot about this guy’s definition of integrity. Besides being a despised mouth piece for the most liberal element of the deomcratic party, he was completely ineffective when it came to delivering for constituents..Hated by his own and politically impotent weiner should embrace the role of house frau. a complete and utter duffus.
Weiner, if he tells all, and comes out as a family man, will have the inside track. Anyone who goes up against Bloomberg and exposes His Horror for the mayor’s Nazi-and Fascist Like behaviors, decisions and wastefulnees to an extreme will be popular with the people.
He should have never resigned. Run Anthony Run!!
