1. What do you love about your job and why?
I am blessed to work with my grandfather, 92, as well as my father. We are three generations that have a passion for helping people and have a first-rate work ethic and value for professionalism. Payroll and taxes are an integral function of a company’s day-to-day operations and I am able to educate and provide services that help people run their business. We provide peace of mind to business owners. Octagon Payroll will take care of their payroll and tax filings.
2. What are your business goals over the next five years?
Over the next five years I will grow our payroll practice. Currently we process payrolls for businesses from 1-300 employees; another goal is to work with companies larger than 300 employees. We will continue to incorporate technological growth without sacrificing quality personal service, integrity and confidentiality. Octagon Payroll Services would also like to become a member of the American Payroll Association and Better Business Bureau.
3. How do you give back to the community?
Recently I was chair for the Arthritis Foundation’s Queens Leaders Award Reception in October, 2010 and committee member for the American Heart Association’s “Go Red For Women” June 2010 event. I am always looking for more opportunities to help within the community and have made a commitment to these foundations going forward to help with other events.
