Seek attempted bank robber
On Tuesday, August 30, the suspect entered the Capital One Bank located at 70-09 Parsons Boulevard and passed a note to a teller demanding cash. The teller refused and the suspect fled the location. There were no injuries sustained.
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 25 to 35 years old, 5’10″ to 6’0″ with black hair. He was last seen wearing green shorts with a blue polo shirt and black tinted glasses.

Cops make arrest in city-wide robbery pattern
Officers assigned to the 111th Precinct’s anti-crime team observed and arrested a man wanted in connection with a string of 14 robberies – 13 in Queens, one in Brooklyn.
On Friday, September 16, Officers Patrick Hughes and Evan Ostrofsky observed the perp, identified as Eric Colvin, 24, of Far Rockaway, take multiple cell phones from three youths in Peck Park, at Underhill Avenue and 190th Street. They said that Colvin, who fit the description of the wanted man, also attempted to rob two other male youths.
The officers arrested Colvin, whose record includes eight others arrests – for robbery, suspended license, criminal trespass, theft of service, possession of marijuana and one unspecified violation. He was last arrested on August 30.
He was positively identified in lineups.

Arrest in fatal hit-and-run
Police have arrested a man they say fatally struck a man on the Grand Central Parkway.
On Thursday, September 15, police responded to the westbound GCP at the 82nd Street exit for a person struck by a vehicle.
Upon their arrival, officers observed an unconscious and unresponsive man, later identified as Jerry Kishun, 67, of South Ozone Park. EMS also responded to the scene and took Kishun to Elmhurst General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
In the days following the accident, police arrested Luis Narvaez, 61. He is charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and tampering with evidence.
