‘The Voice’
Queens Symphony Orchestra
Saturday, May 14
The Queens Symphony Orchestra (QSO) will close its season with the concert “The Voice” at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 at the Queensborough Performing Arts Center, located at 222-05 56th Avenue in Bayside.
There will be a pre-concert lecture at 6:30 p.m. with Music Director Constantine Kitsopoulos. Participating in the concert will be QSO 2010 Young Soloist Competition winner Nan-Cheng Chen.
Admission is $30 for orchestra seating and $25 for balcony seating. The cost for students and seniors is $20. Children 10 and under get in for $10.
There is a $5 charge for the lecture.

Art Show
LeHavre Art League
Sunday, May 15
Members of the LeHavre Art League will hold an art show at the cooperative’s clubhouse, located at 168-68 9th Avenue in Whitestone, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 15.
The exhibition will include paintings, watercolors, photography, pottery, jewelry and quilts. Some items will be for sale. Wine and cheese will be served.

1939 World’s Fair Lecture
Queens Historical Society
Sunday, May 15
The Queens Historical Society, located at 143-35 37th Avenue in Flushing, will hold the lecture “World of Tomorrow: 1939 New York World’s Fair” from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 15.
It will be presented by historian Pierre Montiel and will include a slide show.
Admission is $5 for society members and $8 for non-members.
