Captain Tilly Park, located at 165th Street between Gothic Drive and Highland Avenue, will host a free movie night from 7 to 11 p.m. on Friday, May 20.
“Shrek Forever After” will be shown. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or a blanket.

Tap Extravaganza
Flushing Town Hall
Friday, May 20
Flushing Town Hall, located at 137-35 Northern Boulevard, will host its third annual Tap Extravaganza at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 20.
The event will feature tap dancers Jason Samuels Smith, Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards, Omar Edwards and Karen Callaway Williams.
Tickets cost $20 or $15 for members and $10 for students.

Screening and Live Event
Museum of the Moving Image
Friday, May 20
A live big band will perform the score to “The Oyster Princess” during its screening at the Museum of the Moving Image, located at 36-01 35th Avenue in Astoria, at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 20.
“The Oyster Princess” is from director Ernst Lubitsch and came out in 1919. Music will be performed by the Flat Earth Society.
Tickets are $15 for the public and $10 for museum members.

Annual Gala
Queens Theatre in the Park

Queens Theatre in the Park, located in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, will hold its annual gala at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24.
The event will include a cocktail party, light supper, awards ceremony, performance and dessert. Tickets for the fundraiser are $250 and $450.
