102nd Precinct
On Friday March 5, police responded to a call of a pedestrian struck at the intersection of Woodhaven Boulevard and Jamaica Avenue.
Upon their arrival responding officers determined that a 23-year-old man was running westbound on Jamaica Avenue and was struck by a 2010 Gray Mercedes E350 that was traveling southbound on Woodhaven Boulevard.
The driver of the vehicle, a 39-year-old man, remained on the scene. The pedestrian was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police say there are no signs of criminality and the investigation is ongoing.
