‘Second Sundays’
The Noguchi Museum

The Noguchi Museum, located at 9-01 33rd Street in Long Island City, will hold its “Second Sundays” program at 3 p.m. on February 14.
Art historian and culture critic Dore Ashton will speak about Noguchi as a person and about his work.
The event is free with admission to the museum, which is $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and students with a valid ID. It is free for children under 12 or for New York City public high school students who also have a valid ID.

Musical Celebration
York College Performing Arts Center

A musical celebration in honor of the life and music of Thelonious Monk will be held at the York College Performing Arts Center, located at 94-20 Guy R. Brewer Boulevard in Jamaica, at 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 18.
The event is being held in honor of Black History Month. It will feature the Epistorphy Quintet and soprano saxophonist Sean Juan. There will be a narrative by Ameera.
