Thanking American Airline’s customers for their business and their loyalty were Millie Rogowski, flight service base manager at LaGuardia; flight attendant Heidi Erby as Lady Liberty; Shashi Khemlani, manager of New York Sales’ small and medium sized business unit; and Rose Astacio, flight service manager at LaGuardia

The American Airlines staff celebrated their customers on Tuesday, June 9, by welcoming them with candy and greetings at LaGuardia International Airport.
Staff wore sashes reading, “We love our customers” as they greeted travelers.
“To say I’m proud of our people for staging this terrific event would be an understatement,” said Ken Pyatt, American’s managing director at La Guardia. “They came up with a great idea and pushed it to the limit to make it happen.”
At their “Customer Appreciation Blitz” was flight attendant Heidi Erby, dressed as the Statue of Liberty.
“We wanted to go the limit to show our customers how much we value them and their fantastic loyalty to American,” said Rose Astacio, flight service manager for American at LaGuardia. “Our customers are what we’re all about, and we wanted them to know that we really appreciate their choosing us.”
The American Airlines employees at LaGuardia recently won the Airlines’ Customer Cup for the Hub and Tier 1 category. The team at LaGuardia was the first to win the award repeatedly.
American Airlines, American Eagle, and AmericanConnection airlines served 250 cities in 40 countries, averaging more than 3,400 flights daily. This network commands over 900 aircraft.
