The Queens County Young Republicans held their spring cocktail party recently at the Woodhaven House, on Woodhaven Boulevard in Rego Park, with group president Rich Alicea as master of ceremonies.
Guest speakers were Curtis Sliwa of the Guardian Angels, Red Apple CEO and possible mayoral candidate John Catsimatidis and good-government advocate Michael Ricatto of Better Leadership America.
Ricatto was raised on a family farm on Long Island, while Catsimatidis started his fortune in the grocery business - and Republicans are hoping their advocacy will bear fruit.
