“Magic & Mystery with Magician, Mentalist & Escape Artist Michael Lee” will take place at 2 p.m. at the Jackson Heights Library on Saturday, August 2.
Lee, who has been performing for more than 15 years, is a founding member of the New York Academy of Magic. Along with performing in venues such as the Apollo Theatre and Waldorf-Astoria, he has performed for President Bill Clinton, Senator Hillary Clinton, Jim Henson, and Kurt Vonnegut.

Warm Up 2008
P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center

The P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center continues with the 10th season of its Warm Up series on Saturday, August 2 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The series will be held every Saturday through September 6. The weekly even features live music and DJs.
The August 2 Warm Up will be hosted by Black Rock Coalition and Five Six Media. It will feature Dragons of Zynth, Chuck Treece’s McRad, Apollo Heights and CX KiDTRONiK.

Queens Theatre in the Park

As part of the 2008 Latino Cultural Festival, Rub/n Rada will perform at Queens Theatre in the Park at 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 3.
A composer and vocalist, Rada is a master of the Afro-Uruguayan rhythmic style of music known as Candombe. Through his songs, Rada “assimilate[s] different styles including jazz, world music, funk, pop, tango, rock and of course, Candombe.”
Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 the day of the performance.

“Highlights from the Collection”

The exhibition “Highlights from the Collection” will be on display at The Noguchi Museum through January 18, 2009.
The exhibit features more than 50 works from the collection. Among them are “rarely seen sculptures, studies and models.”
