Cardozo defended their PSAL girls 4×400-meter relay title at the 100th annual Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden Friday night, shattering the competition with a time of 3:58.35. Samuel Tilden won the silver with a time of 4:06.53. It was not necessarily easy; star runner Dalilah Muhammad started the race but lost one of her spikes out of the gate. Nevertheless, the junior sprinter fought on.
Teammate Tessa West ran the second leg at 58.62 seconds, giving the Judges a 25-meter lead at the halfway point. Lindsay Rowe and Alison Lee finished it off for the Oakland Gardens school.
On the boys side, Campus Magnet finished fifth in the 4X400-meter relay. Brooklyn’s South Shore earned the Gold.
