Readers and students in Queens can now spend Saturday at their local library. The new schedule will begin Saturday, October 6 with all libraries opening from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Most libraries announced the new hours to their patrons by posting signs, word of mouth and published reports.
David Symons, a Bayside resident, commented that he just noticed the new schedule on the door, “This is very convenient for us. Before we had to go to Auburndale and that was out of the way. It’s something we’ve been looking forward to.”
An independent library system, Queens Library has the highest circulation of any public library system in the U.S. and one of the highest circulations in the world. Check the list below for your nearest branch and for further information call the phone numbers listed for each branch.
